October 20th, 2011, Ambassador Tahir Taghizade visited Moravian-Silesian region of the Czech Republic

After answering questions of the Czech Television regarding purposes and expectations of the visit, Ambassador had a meeting with Mr. Jaroslav Palas, Governor of Moravian-Silesian region, where economic relations, attraction of Azerbaijani tourists to the region, as well as Azerbaijan's tourism potentials, partnership possibilities between educational institutions issues have been discussed.

Afterwards, Ambassador held a meeting with Mrs. Simona Piperkova, Vice-Major of Ostrava City. Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict, establishing partnership relations between Ostrava and Sumgayit and between mining institutions of these cities, scientific and cultural cooperation, plans for founding "Czech-Azerbaijani Cultural Forum" in Ostrava Museum were the main topics of discussion.

Later, with attendance of the curator of Ostrava Museum and editor of the Czech version of the "Irs - Heritage" magazine Mr. David Mayer, Chief Editor of "Irs - Heritage" magazine Mr. Musa Marjanli, Head of the cultural and ecological section of Major's office of Ostrava Mr. Michal Hrotik, Head of the International Relations section of the Moravian-Silesian governorship Mr. Tomas Fidler and members of Azerbaijani diaspora of Havirjov and Olomouc cities presentation of the Czech version of the "Irs - Heritage" magazine took place.

After the event Ambassador T. Taghizade gave answers to questions of the newspaper of Major's office of Ostrava city.
