26 November, 2009 Today the Azerbaijan-Russian co-production of "Sovereign's Destiny" was played in Prague's Svetozor cinema. The event was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan to the Czech Republic.

Ambassador Tahir Taghizade opened the event stating that the movie was dedicated to one of the most complicated periods in Azerbaijan's history and that it would be interesting to all who are into the history of not only Azerbaijan, but the whole region. Many wonder about the current situation regarding Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict, he said. "However after seeing that movie people would become much more aware of the historic roots and evolvement of the conflict, too", added the Ambassador.

After the screening, Fakhraddin Manafov, star of the movie, was invited to the stage to share his ideas and feelings about the movie.

The event which brought together around 150, including Deputy Chairman of the Czech Chamber of Deputies, senators, first Deputy Minister of Culture, Czech Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Prague based Ambassadors and Embassy representatives, Czech movie icons, as well as members of Azerbaijani Diaspora, ended with a cocktail party.
