KHOJALY VICTIMS COMMEMORATED IN PRAGUE

Prague, March 3, 2009 Today members of Azerbaijani diaspora residing in the Czech Republic, as well as Azerbaijani students rallied against presentation of the book entitled "Ancient Land of Artsakh" prepared by Armenian photograph Garik Avanesyan. Rally took place in the square in front of the Franciscan Monastery where presentation of the book was planned.

Participants of the rally demonstrated posters illustrating victims of Khojaly genocide committed by Armenian armed forces in 1992 during the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan, chanted slogans about inalienability of Nagorno Karabakh to Azerbaijan, and demanded Armenia to stop aggression against Azerbaijan. Organizers passed among bypassers pamphlets "10 things you need to know about Nagorno Karabakh". In general, they managed to distribute about 500 info packages about Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Over 50 persons, including alongside with Azerbaijanis citizens of other CIS countries, Turkey and the Czech Republic took part in the rally.
